One Day Labour and Birth Preparation Class
Class Information
Classes are small which helps to create a relaxed learning environment and also gives the opportunity for couples to meet other couples on the course.
Registration will take place at 9.30am and coffee and Danish pastries will be served. The class will commence promptly at 10.00am and finish at 5.00pm.
The following topics will be covered at a relaxed pace:
- Recognising that labour has started
- When to go to hospital or call the midwife
- Stages of labour
- Active Birth Skills - positions, breathing and relaxation techniques
- Caesarean birth
- Pain relief options
- Medical interventions - what may be needed and why
- Birth partners - what you can do to help
- Communicating confidently with the health professionals
Cost
The One Day Labour and Birth Preparation Class will cost £165.00 per couple. This will include:
- Course support material
- Refreshments throughout the day
- Light lunch
- Ongoing support from Birth Days - via email or telephone after your session.
