Natal Hypnotherapy™ Birth Preparation Course
Course Information
The number of attendees is kept to minimum to ensure a high standard of personal attention through out.
The course will commence promptly at 9:30am and finish at 5.00pm. This is a complete antenatal course which will prepare you and your birth partner mentally, emotionally and physically for giving birth. The course is run over 2 days.
You will learn all you need to know to have a positive birth experience. The following topics will be covered at a relaxed pace:
Understanding the basics of birth as a natural and intuitive process:
- The simplicity of birth
- Recognising the main stages
- The importance of hormones
- The emotional behaviour during birth
Understanding the negative impact of adrenaline and fear on the birthing process:
- How to minimise and overcome fear
- Dismantling the myths
- Understanding the fear - tension - pain cycle and how to avoid it
- Taking control of how you respond to the birth process
- Recognising and letting go of fears
Preparing for your own birth
- Practical tools for birth
- Active birth exercises, breathing, massage
- Writing your own birth script
The role of and practical tools for the partner:
- Understanding what the mother needs to birth well
- Learn massage techniques to help her during the birth
- Learn to help her to stay calm and relaxed
- Understanding your choices
- Giving you the confidence to work with the medical team in a positive way
The role of the medical profession and how to interact with them:
- Knowing the choices you have
- Preparing the right questions
- Working with your midwife in a positive way
Visualisation and hypnotherapy
- Learn the principles of hypnosis
- Hypnotherapy practice
- Using hypnosis to help you stay calm and relaxed
- How it can benefit you during pregnancy, birth and post natally
- How to enter deep relaxation in seconds
- How to write personalised visualisation scripts
Cost
The Natal Hypnotherapy™ Birth Preparation Course will cost £280.00 per couple. This will include:
- A pre course questionnaire
- 16 hours of tuition (on 2 day courses)
- A 65 page Natal Hypnotherapy™ manual

- Data sheet / guidelines to give to your midwife and medical team
